American Girls Club - for girls ages 7 to 12; meets monthly on the 1st Wednesday of

PAWS Reading Dogs – on the 3rd Wednesdays of each month.   The PAWS dogs
(Pets As Willing Servants) and their trainers will be at the Library to listen to children

Fun with Music & Books -2nd Wednesdays of the month – an introduction to music
for children ages 5, 6 and 7.  Susan Cole-Shaw, a local music teacher, will lead this
program. Children will be introduced to stories with musical themes, easy songs,
play hand held instruments and play fun music games.  Free. Class size is limited.

Florida Humanities Council - (Florida Humanities Council) – Wednesday, February 20
at 6:30pm – Harold Newton: the Original Highwayman with Gary Monroe.  Learn the
story of Newton, leader of the Highwaymen artists and major Florida landscape
painter, through an overview of the quintessential paintings.  Book signing to follow.

lower level of the Community Building (next to City Hall.)  10,000+ books; great
bargains in all subject areas.  The Used Book Sale occurs during the Mount Dora Art
Festival.

Used Paperback Book Extravaganza – Tuesday, February 19 - 10:00am to 8:00pm in
the
Library’s Community Room.  Great prices and an unbelievable number of paperback
books.


Artists @ the Library:  Highwayman Sylvester Wells – Wednesday, February 6 at 5:
00pm.  Meet one of the original Florida African-American artists known as the
Highwaymen.   Mr. Wells will be demonstrating his artistic style, talking about his art
heritage and selling his work.  FREE


AARP Tax Aide – starting on Monday, February 4 through Tuesday, April 15.  Hours
this year – Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from10:00am to 3:00pm and Tuesday
from 1:00pm to 7:00pm.  Free help with your federal or state income tax filings.

Tax Forms – looking for a copy of an IRS tax form or tax information pamphlet, check
out the tax forms both Federal and state available at the Library.  We have copies of
the most popular one in paper; a reproducible notebook of tax forms and forms
available on the Internet.

Writers on the Grill – a roundtable for local poets and poets-to-be to create poetry.

Presidents and Their First Ladies: Franklin &Eleanor Roosevelt - Tuesday, February
26 at 2:00pm.  Free but tickets are required.  Once again William and Sue Wills bring
us another one of their "dramatically read dialogues" delving into the personal
relationship of President Franklin Roosevelt and his wife Eleanor.  Free tickets may
be obtained at the Circulation Desk starting Monday, February 14.


Mount Dora Music Festival – Thursday, February 21– Sunday, February 24 – hear a
variety of music at various venues around town.  The following musical events will
