Want to learn how to use a computer then start at the Library. We offer very basic courses in
Introduction to the Computer, Word Processing, the Internet and E-mail. Sign up for the
courses at the Circulation Desk. FREE
Open to Boys and Girls grades K-5 on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the Month at 4 pm. FREE
PAWS Reading Dogs – on the 3rd Wednesdays of each month. The PAWS dogs (Pets As
Willing Servants) and their trainers will be at the Library to listen to children to read at 3:30
pm. FREE
Meets the 1st & 3rd Saturday of each month from 10 am to noon. All ages welcomed. FREE
Used Book Sale at the Historic Train Depot Baggage Room, 341 Alexander St., Mount Dora on
Saturday, March 24 from 9 am to 4 pm & Sunday, March 25 from 10 am to 3 pm.
Quality films from the History Channel will be shown on the 2nd Tuesday of the month at noon.
Bring your own lunch and the Library will provide drinks and a dessert. FREE
Writer’s Café – a monthly get together for local writers, poets and listeners to share their
work – 4th Tuesdays at 7:00pm
Free Tax Preparation Service by appointment by calling 352-735-5936. Mon, Wed and Thur
from 10 am to 2 pm and Tuesdays from 1 to 5:30 pm. Please bring social security cards for all
dependants and all tax documents needed to prepare your return. These include W-2’s, 1099’
s, Property Tax Statements, Unemployment, Proof of Donations or Expenditures for Energy
Credits, Sales Tax Paid on New Vehicle Purchase, Etc.
